Frequently Asked Questions

What Do Therapy Sessions Involve?

The existential tantric psycho-somatic therapy works holistically on your emotions, cognition, and physical body across the unconscious, conscious and meta-conscious (that is, the way your conscious mind perceives itself, in other words, how you think and feel about your own thoughts and feelings). The goal of the therapy is to enable you to lead your life more freely and genuinely, feeling secure in the world, mastering the inner connection with yourself and the outer relationships with others and the world, fully tasting and experiencing what you really like in life, living with greater freedom and awareness of your values and with inner consent, and finding meaning and fulfilment. Those having a spiritual interest can also explore non-dualistic teachings and practices.

The sessions blend science and art across existential psychology, non-violent communication, neuroscience and psycho-somatic bodywork with ancient spiritual teachings of Classic and Neo Tantra, Taoism, Buddhism and Shamanism.

If you are a first-time client, there will be an initial 15 to 30-minute complimentary discovery call to discuss your interests and goals to assess whether I could be of assistance. If we agree to work together then we’ll decide whether to have the sessions online or in person.

Online sessions usually take between 60 and 90 minutes, and are mostly focused on talk therapy, with occasional guidance for practices that you can do by yourself at home, either during the session or after.

In-person sessions usually take between 3.5 and 6 hours. They usually start with counselling and may include mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, bodywork, tantric massage, emotional release, de-armouring (the alleviation and ultimately releasing of the emotional and somatic shields that we acquire throughout our lives in response to and as an attempt to cope with difficult situations that are hard to deal with in the moment) and trauma renegotiation. Sessions can be clothes-on or off, and are governed by high professional standards, code of ethics and boundaries.

I am always available after sessions if there is need for aftercare and support.

I welcome all genders, sexual orientations and relationship styles.

Where Are the Sessions Offered?

Online sessions are conducted via video conference in a safe and confidential manner. The sessions are not recorded or captured into transcripts.

In-person sessions take place in a safe and beautifully set space that creates the perfect ambiance enabling you to feel safe, relax, surrender, feel nourished, and gently open up.

What is Tantric Massage?

First, I’d like to clarify that the practice of “Tantric massage” is not necessarily rooted in Classical Tantra. Rather, it emerged as part of the New-Age and Neo-Tantra movement. The association with Classical Tantra comes from the focus of the Neo-Tantra movement on sexuality as the focal point of Tantra (or at least one of the main areas of its application), which is a gross misperception. Therefore, the term could be considered a misappropriation or misrepresentation. However, Classical Tantra and Taoist practices incorporate working with energy that also includes sexuality; chakra cleansing, opening and activation; spiritual states of awakening and “spiritual orgasms” – commonly associated with Kundalini activation and awakening.

I am only using the term “Tantric massage” because its use has become wide-spread and people relate to it, despite its misuse. Thus, I feel the need to provide further clarification to avoid confusion between Tantric massage as a therapeutic practice, and pleasure-focused Tantric massage as an erotic-only service.

The receiver of a therapeutic Tantric massage is not a giver. Their role is to receive and surrender to the re-emergence and healing of the senses, feelings and emotions, cognitive repositioning, and spiritual awakening. Among the many techniques that can be employed in a therapeutic Tantric massage we can find breathwork, mindfulness and meditation, unblocking and activating energy channels, somatic experiencing, full body and psycho-somatic bodywork, which is not necessarily sexual.

Unlike an erotic massage, this therapeutic (and considered sacred, by many) practice incorporates the Tantric essence of Shakti (meaning energy, power, the goddess in Sanskrit). When this universal force is artfully embedded into therapy it can touch the deepest layers and aspects of the being and be a powerful and profound instrument of spiritual, emotional and physical healing. My sessions are governed by high professional standards, code of ethics and boundaries. I aim at supporting your individual personal growth, empowerment and integration, and your emotional, physical, mental, spiritual and sexual well-being. Whilst the specific therapy modalities may vary between clients or between different session with the same client, my ethical code of conduct applies equally to all therapy-related professional activities including individual or group work, coaching, teaching, training, and consulting, and provides a common set of values upon which I deliver my services and continually build my professional expertise. I strive to be professional in attitude and conduct, responsible in my relations with clients, reliable in agreements and timely in appointment schedules. Please read the code of ethics section for a full description.
